Horse mackerel meat is very soft and tender. It is especially tasty in tomato marinade with the addition of vinegar, as this filling softens the specific taste of fish.

- -1 kg horse mackerel;
- -salt;
- -1 onion;
- -1 carrots;
- - peppercorns;
- -Bay leaf;
- -vinegar.
- For tomato marinade you will need:
- -1 carrots;
- -2 onions;
- -vegetable oil;
- -2 tbsp. tablespoons of tomato paste;
- -Bay leaf;
- - peppercorns;
- -salt;
- -sugar;
- -200 ml of fish broth or water;
- -100 ml of diluted vinegar.
Instructions
Step 1
First, we clean the horse mackerel and rinse well. Next, you need to dip the fish into boiling water and add 1 tbsp. a spoonful of salt, onion, carrots, 4 peppercorns, 1 bay leaf, 1 tbsp. a spoonful of diluted vinegar.
Step 2
It is recommended to cook the fish over low heat. After 20 minutes, horse mackerel becomes very soft.
Step 3
The boiled fish must be removed from the broth and all bones must be removed, leaving only the fillets.
Step 4
You will need peeled vegetables to make the marinade. Cut onions and carrots into small strips.
Step 5
Then you need to fry the vegetables in a deep frying pan in vegetable oil for 15 minutes. Next, you need to add tomato paste, fish broth, spices, vinegar, salt and sugar. Close the pan with a lid and keep on fire for 20 minutes.
Step 6
Arrange the mackerel pulp in plates and pour over the hot tomato marinade.
