This sweet roll with strawberry filling is perfect for both a festive table and homemade tea!
It is necessary
- For the test:
- - 100 g flour
- - 50 g potato starch
- - 100 g sugar
- - yolks from 8 eggs
- - proteins from 5 eggs
- For filling:
- - 150 ml strawberry jam syrup
- For fondant:
- - 100 g sugar
- - 200 g of milk

Step 1
Cooking the dough
Grind the yolks with half the sugar. Beat the other half of the sugar with the whites until thick foam. Then we combine these two mixtures, slowly add starch, flour there and knead the biscuit dough.
Step 2
We spread the resulting dough with spoons on parchment not in a thick layer and send it to an oven preheated to 200-220 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
Step 3
Remove the finished biscuit from the parchment, apply strawberry syrup on it, distribute it evenly over the entire surface and roll it into a roll.
Step 4
Cooking fondant
Pour milk into a deep container, then add sugar there and, stirring, bring to a boil. We remove the fondant from the fire, cool it and apply it to our product.
Step 5
Put the strawberry syrup in a pastry bag and use it to apply stripes to the roll.
