  • - lemon juice - 1 tablespoon;
  • - powdered milk - 1 glass;
  • - wheat flour - 0.25 cups;
  • - baking powder for dough - 0.25 teaspoon;
  • - milk - 1/3 cup;
  • - butter - 3 tablespoons.

Instructions

Step 1

Squeeze the juice from the lemon by hand. Then combine it in one saucepan with granulated sugar and clean water. Put the resulting solution on the stove and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Once the syrup has boiled, reduce heat slightly and simmer for another 5 minutes. Move aside.

Step 2

Place the milk powder in a deep separate bowl. Then add wheat flour to it. Add melted butter to the resulting dry mixture. Mix all ingredients thoroughly together. It remains to add simple warm milk to the formed mass. Pour it in in small portions. This is how you got the dough for "Gulab Jamuns".

Step 3

Gently pinch off small pieces from the finished dough and turn them, rolling them with your hands, into balls, the size of which is approximately the same as that of walnuts. Do the procedure fairly quickly, otherwise the dough will begin to crust over, that is, dry out. Try to keep all the figures straight and free of cracks.

Step 4

Pour enough vegetable oil into a skillet or any other high-walled container. Fry the dough balls until dark brown. When this procedure is completed, place the treat in the cooled sugar syrup. The dish should stay in it for at least several hours, or even better for a whole day. Gulab Jamuns are ready!
