Easter, or the Sunday of Christ, is celebrated by everyone: this holiday has already ceased to be purely religious, but has become a family and nationwide one. Easter is a good reason for all relatives to gather at a well-set table in order not only to eat deliciously, but also to communicate and relax. After all, for a long time, a feast - food prepared with your own hands - has united people. Your meal will be made special by cookies made from yeast dough.

It is necessary

    • 100 g butter
    • 100 g caster sugar
    • 1 egg
    • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
    • 250 g wheat flour
    • For garnish: 1 egg white
    • 1 tsp Sahara
    • poppy
    • sesame
    • flax seeds
    • nuts
    • raisins
    • Easter sprinkle

Instructions

Step 1

Beat butter with sugar. Add egg and cinnamon, beat again. Add flour and knead the dough. Roll out to a thickness of 6 mm.

Step 2

Draw and cut out a lamb pattern. Place a stencil on the rolled dough and cut out the lambs. It is more convenient to first circle the contour with a knife, with a light pressure, and then cut out the figure with kitchen scissors.

Step 3

Roll another piece of dough into a thin, not very wide, but long strip. Lubricate it with water and sprinkle evenly with a layer of poppy seeds and sugar.

Step 4

Roll the crispy roll with the filling. Fillings can be different: jam, ground steamed dried fruits, nuts, boiled condensed milk. From unsweetened: minced meat, green onions, fried onions, mushrooms, etc.

Step 5

Cut the roll into 1-1 cm wide slices.

Step 6

Transfer the lamb figurines to a baking sheet and moisten with water. Glue the ear to the head. If desired, attach a zest instead of the eyes. Lay the pieces of the roll close to each other on the lamb's body. Once again, lubricate the entire surface of the figures with water and let them brew. Before baking, brush the head and legs with an egg. Bake at 200-220 degrees C until browning.
