Couscous is a delicious cereal with a very delicate flavor. If you haven't tried it yet, then prepare an original oriental dish of couscous with orange and almonds. It turns out an amazing taste, lovers of oriental cuisine will appreciate it.
It is necessary
- For four servings:
- - 350 g couscous;
- - 350 ml vegetable broth;
- - 100 g of almonds;
- - 40 g raisins;
- - 10 ml vegetable oil;
- - a feather of green onions, cut into rings;
- - black pepper;
- - chopped onion;
- - salt;
- - a pinch of ground paprika;
- - three carnation buds;
- - cinnamon stick;
- - green bell peppers;
- - one orange.
Instructions
Step 1
Pour boiling water over the orange, then grate the zest, and squeeze all the juice from the pulp. Rinse the bell peppers, chop finely, after removing the stalk with seeds.
Step 2
Chop the almonds coarsely and lightly fry them in oil, add bell peppers and chopped onions to the almonds, continue to fry for another three minutes.
Step 3
Pour in the broth and put the raisins, spices, paprika, orange peel into the pan, pour in the orange juice. Wait for the mixture to boil.
Step 4
Pour the couscous into the pan, pepper, add salt to taste and cook, covered over low heat, for five minutes, no more. Couscous cooks quickly.
Step 5
Loosen the cereals well with a fork and sprinkle with the green onion rings before serving. Serve warm. It will take you no more than thirty minutes to cook couscous with orange, with 315 calories in each serving.
