Instructions
Step 1
Bring the cream to room temperature. Pour them in a beating container. Cover with a lid. Insert the beaters of the mixer into the hole in the lid. This is necessary to ensure that the separated buttermilk is not splashed during the cooking process.
Step 2
Begin whipping cream with a mixer at the lowest speed, gradually increase the speed of the mixer beaters. Continue whisking for about 10 minutes, until the cream turns into a dense, light yellow foam.
Step 3
Beat for another 2-3 minutes, until the butter separates. At this point, the buttermilk will separate from the butter. Stop whipping.
Step 4
Take a clean bowl, put a colander in it. Place a cotton napkin or cheesecloth in a colander.
Step 5
Pour the contents from the bowl in which you whipped the butter into a colander. Leave it on for 15 minutes.
Step 6
After using a wooden spatula, knead the contents in a colander for about 5 minutes. This is necessary for the oil to become homogeneous. Season with salt to taste. Store the finished oil in a cold place.
