Many nutritionists believe that soup is a must-have in a child's diet. It is easy to digest and nutritious. To keep your child happy with the first meal, choose the right recipes from your favorite foods.
Milk noodles
Try making a sweet milk soup - children usually like it a lot. To attract their attention, fill it not with ordinary vermicelli, but with small curly products in the form of an alphabet, animals or stars.
You will need:
- 0.5 liters of milk;
- 2 tablespoons of curly pasta;
- 2 teaspoons of sugar;
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar.
Pour milk into a saucepan, add granulated sugar and vanilla sugar. While stirring the mixture, bring it to a boil and add the small pasta. Stir the soup and cook for another 3-5 minutes. The exact cooking time depends on the size of the pasta. They should be soft, but not soft. Pour the soup into warmed bowls and serve.
Meatball soup
Keep the meatballs small to make it easier for the children to eat the soup. Don't add a lot of herbs - many toddlers don't like the taste of herbs.
You will need:
- 200 g ground beef;
- 750 ml of beef or vegetable broth;
- 2 potatoes;
- 1 carrot;
- a handful of vermicelli;
- 0.5 small onions;
- salt;
- black peppercorns;
- parsley and dill.
If your child doesn't like onions, eliminate them from the recipe.
Salt the minced meat and roll it into small meatballs. Peel and dice the potatoes and carrots. Chop the onion and fry in butter. Boil the broth with a couple of black peppercorns, add salt, onions, carrots and potatoes. Cook for 5 minutes, then add the meatballs and cook the soup for another 5 minutes. Add the noodles and after 2 minutes remove the pan from the stove and cover. Sprinkle a little chopped greens over each serving before serving.
Carrot puree soup
Children love the delicate sweet taste of carrots. To make the first course more delicious, choose juicy, bright root vegetables. This recipe can be used to make soup with other vegetables, such as potatoes, corn, or green peas.
You will need:
- 450 g of carrots;
- 25 g butter;
- 1 small onion;
- 80 ml of cream;
- 70 ml of vegetable broth;
- salt.
Cut the carrots into slices and the onions into small cubes. Heat the butter in a saucepan and fry the vegetables in it for 5-7 minutes. Pour the vegetable stock over the carrots and onions and simmer the vegetables for about half an hour, until they are completely softened. Remove the soup from the stove, cool slightly and strain through a sieve or chop in a food processor.
The consistency of the dish depends on the taste of the child. If your toddler prefers a thicker soup, reduce the amount of liquid.
Return dish to saucepan, season with salt to taste, bring to a boil and add cream. Cook the soup for another minute, then remove from the stove. Garnish each serving with carrot-cut flowers before serving. Separately, you can serve fresh sour cream and homemade white bread croutons.
