Chak-chak is a classic national dish of the Tatar and Bashkir cuisine. This sweetness, suitable for any holiday, is a dough cut into thin strips, fried in vegetable oil and doused with honey.
It is necessary
- - 3 eggs
- - 300 g flour
- - 2 tbsp. spoons of vodka or brandy
- - 1 glass of vegetable oil
- - walnuts
- - dried apricots
- For syrup:
- - 4 tbsp. spoons of honey
- - 5 tbsp. tablespoons of sugar
Instructions
Step 1
In a bowl, beat eggs with salt, pour in vodka or brandy. Then add flour gradually. Knead the dough, it should be cool. Let the dough sit for 30 minutes, covered with a plastic bag.
Step 2
Sprinkle the table with flour and roll out the dough into a thin layer, 2 mm thick. Then cut into strips and the strips into thin noodles.
Step 3
Heat vegetable oil in a cauldron or frying pan and fry the noodles in it until golden brown. Remove the finished sticks with a slotted spoon on a sieve so that the glass will have excess oil.
Step 4
Make a syrup. Heat honey in a saucepan, add sugar. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar is completely dissolved. Place the fried sticks in a separate bowl, pour the syrup evenly over. Shake the pan to mix the contents.
Step 5
Wet your hands with water and gently place the chak-chak on a plate. Add chopped walnuts and finely chopped dried apricots. As you put the chopsticks on a plate, press them down constantly with your hands so that there are fewer voids.
Step 6
Put the finished dish in the refrigerator, it will soak well and hold together.
