Persimmon, or rather jam. made from persimmon will surely raise your spirits and delight you in the cold season. Persimmon is a healthy and tasty fruit containing a large number of beneficial properties such as potassium, magnesium, iodine, phosphorus, iron, glucose.
1) Persimmon jam with lemon.
For cooking you will need:
• 1 kg of persimmon;
• 500 g of sugar;
• Juice of 1 lemon.
It is best to make a sweet, ripe persimmon jam. Rinse it gently, remove pits and skin. The peeled fruit must be cut into squares. Sliced persimmons must be placed in a saucepan, sprinkled with sugar and cooked for an hour. Stir the jam every 5 minutes. Add lemon juice 10 minutes before the end of cooking. Ready jam can be put in sterilized jars and closed with a lid. Ready to put the jars of jam in a warm place.
2) Korolek persimmon jam.
For cooking you will need:
• 1 kg of persimmon Korolek;
• 900 g of sugar;
• 2 tbsp. water;
• 0.5 tsp. citric acid;
• Vanilla (optional).
For jam, you must choose an extremely ripe and dense persimmon. The persimmon must be washed, the stalk, seeds removed and cut into small cubes. Put sugar in a small saucepan, add water and put on fire. When the sugar is completely dissolved and the water boils, you need to add the persimmon and cook for 40 minutes. Stir every 5 minutes. At the end of cooking, add citric acid and vanilla. Delicious jam is ready, you can put it in jars and roll up.
3) Persimmon with orange.
For cooking you will need:
• 2 tbsp. ripe persimmon pulp;
• 300 g of sugar;
• 1 orange;
Put the pulp of the persimmon into a saucepan and add sugar. Peel the orange, cut into small cubes. Grind the skin on a grater. Add orange slices and zest to the persimmon saucepan. Cook for 20 minutes, stirring constantly. After 20 minutes, remove from heat and cool. The cooled jam must be chopped in a blender until a homogeneous mass is formed. The chopped jam must be cooked for another 10 minutes. The finished jam turns out to be very tasty and aromatic.
