Tabbouleh salad is an Arabic dish. It is prepared from cereals, herbs and vegetables. Due to the cereal, this dish becomes satisfying, and the vegetables do not allow it to lose its freshness. In addition to the fact that tabbouleh salad has a pleasant taste and aroma, it is also very healthy.

It is necessary

  • - 200 g of couscous or bulgur;
  • - 3-5 tomatoes, their number depends on the size;
  • - 150 g of parsley leaves without stems;
  • - 1 sweet pepper;
  • - 1-2 cucumbers;
  • - 1 red onion;
  • - a bunch of fresh mint or 2-3 dry spoons;
  • - salt pepper;
  • - olive oil;
  • - lemon juice.

Instructions

Step 1

First you need to prepare the cereal. Whichever cereal is used, the method of preparation will be the same. It is sorted out, washed, seasoned with salt and pepper and poured with boiling water in a ratio of 1: 1, 5. If dried mint is used in the salad, then it is added now. The dishes with cereals are covered with a lid and left until the liquid is completely absorbed.

Step 2

The tomatoes are chopped. The more ripe and juicier they are, the tastier and more aromatic the salad will turn out. Chop the parsley as small as possible, this will also affect the taste of the finished dish. If there is fresh mint, then it is also crushed. Cucumbers, peppers and red onions are cut into small pieces.

Step 3

The steamed groats are thoroughly mixed, this is necessary for greater crumbling, and mixed with vegetable salad. Salt and pepper are added to taste.

Step 4

It remains only to refuel. For tabbouleh salad, a mixture of lemon juice and olive oil is traditionally used as a dressing. The finished salad is removed in a cool place for a couple of hours for soaking.
