This dish is based on Middle Eastern cuisine. It is advisable to prepare the salad in advance. It can be served as an independent, complete meal.
It is necessary
- - bulgur groats - 250 g;
- - tomatoes - 500 g;
- - sweet onion - 1 pc.;
- - black olives - 50 g;
- - chili pepper - 1 pc.;
- - fresh spices - a bunch;
- - garlic - 1 slice;
- - olive oil - 2 tablespoons;
- - orange - 2 pcs.;
- - feta cheese - 200 g;
- - icing sugar - 0.5 tsp;
- - almonds - 25 g.
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, cook bulgur. Put it in a bowl, cover with water, heated to a boil, and stir. Leave to swell for 30 minutes.
Step 2
Wash the tomatoes, cut them into small pieces. Peel and chop the onion. Halve the olives. Remove the seeds from the chili and chop finely. Wash and chop the herbs. Peel a clove of garlic, crush and chop finely. Collect all prepared foods, except bulgur, in a common bowl, mix. Add olive oil.
Step 3
Remove the zest from a pure orange in thin strips. It is convenient to do this with a special device or a sharp knife. Put the finished zest in the vegetable mixture. Peel both oranges, remove pits, white pieces. Chop the pulp and add to the vegetables, stir.
Step 4
Put the present bulgur on a sieve. Once the excess liquid has drained off, send the bulgur to the vegetable bowl. Cover the slightly cooled semi-finished product and refrigerate for 20-40 minutes.
Step 5
Before serving, knead the crumbled feta cheese and chopped, fried almonds into the salad. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve the tabouleh with feta cheese and oranges, lettuce and baby spinach.
