  • - 200 g sugar,
  • - 1 lemon or orange,
  • - 4 tbsp. spoons of liquid honey.

Instructions

Step 1

Peel the zucchini, remove the pulp and cut into cubes.

Step 2

Put the zucchini cubes in a saucepan, cover with a glass of sugar (200 ml glass). Leave the zucchini in the refrigerator overnight.

Step 3

In the morning, drain the resulting juice from the zucchini. Transfer the juice to a small saucepan.

Step 4

Wash the lemon, scald with boiling water, cut into pieces and put them in a blender, chop well.

Step 5

Add chopped lemon to the juice from the zucchini, stir, put on fire. After boiling, reduce the heat.

Step 6

Add 4 tablespoons of liquid honey to the lemon mass, mix, cook for another two minutes.

Step 7

Remove the syrup from heat, strain through a strainer with cheesecloth. Pour zucchini with strained syrup, mix. Put zucchini in syrup on fire, cook until thick. Stir occasionally.

Step 8

Then transfer the courgettes to the drier trays. Set the temperature to 70 degrees. Dry the zucchini for about three hours. Drying time depends on your dryer, so be guided by that.

Step 9

Prepare a clean, dry jar. As soon as the candied zucchini are ready, transfer them to a jar, screw the lid on. Candied fruits can be stored in the pantry throughout the winter.
