The national dish of Spain is the tortilla, which is an omelet of chicken eggs, onions and potatoes cooked in olive oil. Tortilla is often served for breakfast and is offered as a snack. This dish has been known in Spain since the 17th century and, according to legend, was invented by a Navarre peasant woman who was supposed to feed an important general, and she had no other products at her disposal except onions, eggs and potatoes.

Tortilla with potatoes

You will need:

- onions - 3 pcs.;

- chicken egg - 5 pcs.;

- potatoes - 5 pcs.;

- olive oil - 100 ml;

- pepper, paprika, salt - to taste.

First, you need to wash and peel the potatoes, and then cut them in a special way: into circles about 5 millimeters thick. Pour the olive oil into a deep frying pan, and then fry the potatoes in hot oil until they are soft, and then transfer them to a separate plate.

Peel and chop the onions into strips, then fry in oil and add to a plate of potatoes. These ingredients must be cooled.

Beat the chicken eggs well with a mixer or whisk, and then pour in a thin stream to the rest of the ingredients, add spices to taste.

Brush a baking dish with olive oil and add all the ingredients. The form must be sent to the oven at 200 degrees for 10-15 minutes.

After the tortilla is ready, you can cut it into portions and serve hot.

Chicken tortilla

It is necessary

- potatoes - 250 g;

- olive oil - 60 ml;

- garlic - 3 cloves;

- chicken breast - 1 pc.;

- frozen corn - 100 g;

- tomatoes - 2 pcs.;

- sweet bell pepper - 1 pc.;

- cream 40 ml;

- fresh herbs;

- chicken eggs - 5 pcs.;

- ground pepper and salt - to taste.

Boil the chicken breast. Wash the potatoes and cut into small slices, then fry in olive oil.

Also prepare the peppers to be washed, cut in half and core, then cut into cubes. Peel the cloves and crush them with a garlic press.

Add garlic and pepper to the rest of the ingredients, salt the potato slices with vegetables and simmer for 7-10 minutes, then add the sliced tomatoes and corn to them. You can also add diced chicken breast after 5 minutes.

Combine cream, chicken eggs and any greens of your choice in a separate container, mix well. Add this mixture to the finished potatoes with chicken and vegetables and send the pan to the oven, preheated at 180 degrees, for 3-5 minutes.

Cut the finished potato tortilla with chicken into portions and serve.
