When the classic mashed potatoes become boring, you can prepare its interesting variety - with green peas and cream. The taste of the dish turns out to be very unusual and interesting.
Ingredients:
- Potatoes - 5-6 pcs;
- Canned peas - 1 can;
- Cream 15-20% fat;
- Butter - 100 g;
- Chicken breast;
- Salt and pepper to taste.
Preparation:
- Peel the potatoes, add water and boil on the stove until cooked. Willingness to check with a knife - the potatoes should slide off the knife easily. At the end of cooking, drain almost all the water, leaving one third.
- In a mixer, beat the cream with green peas. Pour boiled potatoes with water there, beat everything thoroughly with a mixer (or blender).
- Pour the almost finished puree back into the pot and place on the stove. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Bring the puree to a boil and keep on medium heat for another 10-15 minutes. This is done so that the cream does not turn sour and the finished puree can be stored in the refrigerator.
- When mashed potatoes are ready, add butter and stir. This ingredient is added as an option, opponents of excess calories may well exclude it.
- Peel the chicken breast or thighs from the skin, remove the bones. You should get 300-400 grams of chicken fillet.
- Pour a drop of oil into the pan, fry the chicken fillet until golden brown.
- A dish can be considered vegetarian if you exclude chicken from it.
- To serve the finished dish, mashed potatoes are poured into a plate, and a couple of tablespoons of fried chicken fillet are laid out on top.
