This salad is a very good alternative to the popular Olivier and Herring under a fur coat. The dish has a somewhat unusual composition and allows the use of a completely different sauce instead of mayonnaise, more useful and less high in calories.

This dish got its name because of an ingredient that is somewhat unusual for a meat salad - pineapple. It is rare where you can find such a combination of seemingly incompatible products, but it is not the theory that is important, the result is important!

You will need

- half a can of pineapples (any slices, in syrup);

- 400 g of boneless chicken meat;

- 100 g of cheese (according to your taste);

- 100 g of champignons or forest mushrooms;

- two chicken eggs;

- one clove of garlic;

- salt (to taste);

- black and / or allspice (to taste);

- a quarter teaspoon of ready-made chicken seasoning (optional);

- mayonnaise or Greek sauce "Tsatsiki" ("Dzadziki")

- thick yogurt without additives (the best option is with a fat content of 10%, based on cream);

- one small fresh cucumber;

- lemon juice (to taste);

- herbs of Greek cuisine in the form or ready-made mixture (to taste);

- salt

You can use chicken breast or thigh at your discretion, but the latter option is preferable. Greek sauce has a peculiar flavor and is a worthy alternative to the more popular mayonnaise.

Preparation

Step 1. Prepare the chicken meat: remove films, bruises, etc. Wash and dry. Season with salt and pepper, sprinkle with chicken seasoning and grate well. Cover with cling film and refrigerate for half an hour.

Step 2. Take the meat out of the refrigerator and cook it as you like in one of three ways (from worst to best):

  1. In this variant, the meat greatly loses its taste.
  2. Simple and delicious.
  3. This method is only suitable for those who have an oven with the appropriate function.
  4. Long (3-5 hours), but in all respects this is the best thing to do with meat.

Step 3. If you are using wild mushrooms, boil them first.

Step 4. Wash and dry the champignons. Finely chop the mushrooms and fry until tender in a frying pan without a lid.

Step 5. Boil eggs, cool, peel. Chop finely.

Step 6. Chop the meat finely.

Step 7. Chop pineapples finely. If you come across hard pieces, chop them up so that they do not spoil the overall impression of the salad.

Step 8. Peel, crush with a knife and chop the garlic finely.

Step 9. Grate the cheese on a fine grater.

Step 10. Combine meat, pineapple, garlic, cheese, mushrooms and eggs in a suitable bowl. Add mayonnaise, stir. If you want to use Greek sauce, go to step 11.

Step 11. Wash the cucumber, drain, peel and grate on the finest grater.

Step 12. Mix yogurt with cucumber puree, add lemon juice, herbs, salt, stir.

Step 13. After 10-15 minutes, season the salad.

Step 14. Before serving, be sure to let the dish sit in the refrigerator for 15-30 minutes.
