Chevapchichi is a dish of the inhabitants of the Balkan Peninsula, reminiscent of lula kebab. Traditionally, sausages are cooked in a rostila, an oven similar to the Russian one, but chevapchichi can also be cooked on the grill, in the oven, or in a pan.

500 g pork, 500 g beef, 2 tbsp. spoons of starch, turnip onions 4 pcs., 100 g bread, 50 ml milk, Bulgarian pepper 2 pcs., 4 garlic cloves, salt, spices to taste, vegetable oil 3-4 tbsp. spoons
Instructions
Step 1
To prepare homemade chevapchichi, twist the meat in a meat grinder with a fine grid. Add chopped garlic and two onions, starch, pepper mixture, salt to the minced meat. Soak bread in milk and put in minced meat. Mix it well and beat it off. Shape into any size sausages and refrigerate for 2-3 hours. Note: you can replace salt with soy sauce, you can also experiment with spices, add those that you like, make the cevapchichi more spicy or spicy.

You can cook chevapchichi in different ways: in nature, in the country, use the barbecue, in an apartment, just fry the sausages in a pan. The chevapchichi cooked in the oven are incredibly tasty. To do this, heat the oven to 180˚C, remove the semi-finished products from the refrigerator, grease them with vegetable oil, put them on the wire rack and slide them into the oven. Place a baking sheet under the wire shelf to drain off the fat. Bake for 15 minutes, then lower the temperature to 150˚C and grill until tender for 10 minutes.
Step 3
While chevapchichi are cooking, make a side dish. Cut two onions, preferably red sweet ones, in half, then lengthwise into several large slices. Cut the pepper into four parts, make a concasse from the tomatoes. Fry the onions in a frying pan in vegetable oil for 25-30 seconds, fry the peppers separately. Put onions, peppers, tomatoes on a plate, put ready-made sausages on vegetables.
