It is necessary

    • - 1 chicken breast;
    • - 1 tbsp. l. sour cream;
    • - salt
    • pepper to taste.
    • For breading:
    • - 30-50 g of walnuts;
    • - 500 g of potatoes;
    • - 1 egg;
    • - salt
    • pepper to taste.
    • For the sauce:
    • - 100 g of cheese;
    • - 2 tbsp. l. mustard;
    • - 100 g sour cream;
    • - salt
    • pepper.

Instructions

Step 1

Rinse the chicken breast in cold water and pat dry on a paper towel. Remove the skin from the breast, remove the bones. Cut the meat into cubes no more than 4 cm thick. On average, one chicken fillet makes about 5 sticks. Transfer the chicken sticks to a bowl and season with salt and pepper to taste. Pour in sour cream and stir. Let the chicken marinate while the breading is cooking.

Step 2

Peel and wash the potatoes. Grate the tubers on a coarse grater, salt. Leave the potatoes for 2-3 minutes and then squeeze the juice thoroughly. After squeezing out 500 g of potato tubers, you get about 350 g of grated potatoes.

Step 3

Crush the nuts as small as possible. Add walnuts and peppers to the squeezed potatoes. Beat in an egg and stir the mixture. Cover each chicken stick on all sides with a potato-nut breading, oblong and beat well so that the breading adheres more tightly to the chicken meat.

Step 4

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over low heat. Arrange the chicken sticks and fry on both sides until golden brown. Grease a baking sheet with butter or sour cream, place the fried chicken sticks, cover with foil on top. Bake them in an oven preheated to 220 ° C for about 15-25 minutes until tender.

Step 5

Prepare the sauce. Pour sour cream into a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat immediately. You can use heavy heavy cream instead of sour cream for the sauce. Grate hard cheese on a fine grater and add to sour cream. Add mustard, salt, ground black pepper and stir until smooth.

Step 6

Serve chicken sticks in potato-nut breading sprinkled with finely chopped herbs. Serve fresh or stewed vegetables as a side dish. Separately, place the bowl of cheese sauce next to it.
