A creamy baguette with a crispy crust and airy crumb will take its rightful place on your table. It is believed that a real baguette can be tasted only in France, but Russian craftsmen have been preparing it at home for a long time.
It is necessary
- - 500 grams of wheat flour,
- - 180 ml of milk,
- - 40 ml of water,
- - 1 egg,
- - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of sugar
- - 1 teaspoon of salt without a slide,
- - 18 grams of fresh pressed yeast,
- - 60 grams of butter (20 grams for dough and 40 grams for greasing),
- - sesame seeds to taste.
Instructions
Step 1
Stir milk with water, heat until warm, dilute yeast with sugar, stir well and leave for five minutes.
Step 2
Add the egg and 40 grams of melted cl. butter (40 grams), stir.
Step 3
Sift flour and salt, then mix the dry mixture with the milk mass, knead the dough.
Step 4
Make an elastic bun out of the dough, which you put into a cup (it is advisable to grease it with oil so that it does not stick). Leave it on for an hour and a half.
Step 5
Divide the dough in two and roll out into layers about 3 centimeters thick. Brush with butter. Fold the layer in three parts (overlap), then fold in half and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
Step 6
Remove the dough from the refrigerator and roll out again, brush with butter and roll into a roll.
Step 7
Carefully transfer the rolls to a baking sheet and make cuts on top. Leave it on for half an hour. Before baking, brush the baguettes with an egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Step 8
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Bake the baguettes for half an hour.
