The Chinese name for this dish has changed several times. Most often, sweet and sour pork is referred to as "Gong Bao". However, this name was banned for a long time, because in translation it means the title of the guardian of the heir to the throne.

- - 1 tbsp. l. flour
- - 1 tbsp. l. starch
- - vinegar
- - sugar
- - 1 small green pepper
- - 200 g canned squid
- - 200 g canned pineapples
- - hot ketchup
- - 1 head of onion
- - 1 small carrot
- - soy sauce
Instructions
Step 1
Cut the squid into thin rings. Make a dressing with soy sauce, four tablespoons of ketchup, one tablespoon of sugar, and a teaspoon of vinegar. Cut the pork into thin strips.
Step 2
Put the sliced meat in a separate bowl and cover with cooked soy sauce. Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Marinate the workpiece for 20-30 minutes.
Step 3
Chop green peppers, pineapples and carrots. Fry the vegetable mixture in vegetable oil for 5 minutes. Put all the ingredients on a napkin, and fry the pork in the remaining oil. Place the pieces of meat in the pan so that there is a distance of about 1 cm between them.
Step 4
As soon as the batter is browned, add the fried vegetables to the contents of the pan. You do not need to stir the mixture. Pour soy sauce over the preparation and simmer for 10 minutes over low heat.
Step 5
Pork in sweet and sour sauce is traditionally served with a side dish of rice. You can decorate the dish with fresh herbs.
