Seafood dishes are not only very tasty, but also healthy, as they contain a large amount of trace elements necessary for a person. To prepare pilaf from squid, you need a minimum of ingredients and time, while the result will pleasantly surprise you and your loved ones.

Step 1
If the preparation of ordinary pilaf begins with frying meat in a cauldron, then pilaf with seafood is prepared in a completely different way. Squids do not require long heat treatment, therefore they are added to almost ready-made pilaf. If you digest the squid meat, it will become tough, resembling rubber. This rule applies to all seafood.
Step 2
Place the frozen squid fillets in cold water. After defrosting, remove the skin from it, it resembles a transparent film. It is imperative to remove it, this is one of the rules for cooking squid. Cut the fillets into small pieces and lightly salt.
Step 3
Rinse the rice thoroughly. In the East, it is believed that for high-quality cooking, it must be washed exactly seven times. In practice, the rice should be rinsed until the water runs clear. Also note that rice cannot be cooked in an enamel pan, it is best to use a steel one.
Step 4
Pour about 5 mm of vegetable oil into the bottom of a saucepan and put on fire. Pour the rice into a saucepan and mix thoroughly so that the grains are greased with oil - this will prevent them from overcooking. Then fill with water at the rate of 1, 5 glasses of water per glass of rice. Bring water to a boil, add salt. Cook for ten minutes on low heat, during which time the rice will come to a half-cooked state.
Step 5
While the rice is cooking, finely chop the onions and carrots, fry in a cauldron in vegetable oil for 10 minutes. Then remove the cauldron from the heat, pour a third of the rice into it, mix everything. Now add the squid pieces and the rest of the rice, do not forget the spices - pepper, coriander, one slice of grated garlic. Pour in a glass of water and mix well. Close the cauldron with a lid, place in the oven and incubate for 30 minutes at 175 degrees. You can decorate the finished dish with herbs.
