The famous Georgian dish Adjarian khachapuri, or "Boat" is familiar to everyone. However, many hesitate before starting to cook. Uncertainty is caused by the absolutely gorgeous appearance of the finished product, and since the "Boats" look gorgeous, it means that it is very difficult to cook them, especially for those new to the culinary business.

In fact, this is absolutely not the case. Even without any experience, you can cook them in such a way that they will be no worse than restaurant ones. Try one of the options for making Adjarian khachapuri, be sure to try it, you will not regret it!

For cooking you will need:

• wheat flour 500g

• milk 300 ml (can be replaced with water or in half)

• chicken eggs 5 pcs

• yeast 1 sachet (~ 10g)

• salt, sugar, 1 tsp.

• vegetable oil 4 tbsp. (can be replaced with creamy) 150g

• suluguni cheese 350g

• greens (dill, parsley, cilantro, basil) to taste

Products are listed per 4 servings.

First you need to knead the dough. Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm milk / water. Sift the flour twice, add salt, butter, milk with yeast (if they are fast, then you do not need to wait, but if they are normal, add a teaspoon of flour to the milk and wait 15 minutes for the foam to appear). Knead the dough until it stops sticking to your hands, and send it to a warm place for an hour and a half (depending on how quickly it rises).

When the dough is right, it's time to prepare the filling. Separate the yolks from the whites (a good way to suck them in gently with an empty bottle). One yolk should be mixed with 1 tbsp. water in order to grease the sides of the boats before baking. The other four will go to the middle of the boats.

Grate two types of cheese, mix with finely chopped herbs and the remaining proteins. If the cheese is lightly salted, you need to salt the filling.

Form two balls from the dough (each will make two boats). Divide the ball in half, roll each piece into a circle 5-7 mm thick.

Send two boats to a baking sheet, grease with yolk and water, leave for proofing (10-15 minutes), at this time turn on the oven at 220 ° C. For now, the next two boats can be prepared.

Place the first two khachapuri in the oven for 10-15 minutes. When they are reddened, you need to carefully put the yolk in the middle, and send it back to the oven for another 5 minutes. Repeat with the other two boats.

Before serving, you can decorate with herbs, sprinkle with ground black pepper. It is customary to eat khachapuri "Boat" by breaking off pieces of bread and dipping them into an egg and filling.
