Crab salad has long been a traditional dish of Russian feasts. It is not surprising, because cooking it is quite simple and quick, and buying food for it does not require large expenses. In addition, the usual crab salad can be diversified with other ingredients, creating new flavor combinations.

Simple crab salad recipe

One of the very first recipes for crab stick salad, suitable for those who do not want to spend a lot of time preparing ingredients or simply do not like rice. To prepare it, you will need:

- 8 eggs;

- 250 g of crab meat;

- 200 g of canned corn;

- 3 tbsp. tablespoons of mayonnaise;

- 1 tbsp. a spoonful of sour cream.

Boil eggs hard-boiled, peel and cut into small cubes. Mix eggs and sweet corn from which you first drain the liquid in a salad bowl. Add diced crab meat to the ingredients. In a separate bowl, mix mayonnaise with sour cream and season the salad with the prepared mixture.

It is recommended to store the salad with eggs no more than two days and only in the refrigerator.

Traditional crab salad with rice and cucumbers

Salad composition:

- 1 glass of rice;

- 5 eggs;

- 3 medium sized cucumbers;

- 250 g of crab meat or crab sticks;

- 200 g of canned corn;

- ½ bunch of green onions;

- 250 g mayonnaise.

To make the salad less high in calories, mayonnaise can be completely replaced with low-fat yogurt without any additives, or at least low-fat sour cream.

Boil the rice until tender in a large amount of salted water, drain and cool to room temperature. Hard-boiled eggs and cut into cubes along with crab meat and cucumbers. Place all the ingredients in a salad bowl, add canned corn and finely chopped green onions. Season everything with mayonnaise just before serving so that the cucumbers do not have time to let the juice out, which can ruin the appearance of the dish.

Light salad with crab sticks

This is a lighter version of the crab stick salad, in which rice and eggs are replaced with healthier and more tender Chinese cabbage. To prepare it, you will need:

- 200 g of crab meat or sticks;

- 200 g of sweet canned corn;

- ½ a head of Chinese cabbage;

- cucumber;

- 1 tbsp. a spoonful of mayonnaise;

- 1 tbsp. a spoonful of sour cream;

- salt to taste.

For this salad, it is better to choose a head of cabbage that has a large amount of green leaves.

Finely chop the tender part of the Chinese cabbage leaves across and put them in a salad bowl. Add diced crab meat and cucumber, and canned corn. Mix mayonnaise with sour cream and add this dressing to salad. Mix everything carefully, add salt if necessary and serve.
