For the first time, residents of the island of Taiwan learned about the Bubble tea drink. The drink was originally a whipped cocktail of fruit syrup and tea. Later, tapioca balls were added to the recipe. In the 90s, the drink conquered America, and in 2010 - Europe and was even included in the McDonalds range.
Choosing tea
The basis of the drink is tea, for the preparation of which four varieties are used. Classic Chinese green tea - green powder is made using the gunpowder technology. It has a delicate aroma, bright yellow-green color of the infusion and the classic taste of green tea. The drink is brewed at a temperature of 70-80 degrees Celsius for 1-2 minutes.
Green tea with jasmine has been known for centuries. Its subtle scent has made it the most popular base for bubble tea. Brew for 1-2 minutes at a temperature of 75-80 degrees Celsius.
Black tea with bergamot - Earl Gray has a rich aroma and exquisite taste, therefore it rightfully occupies a leading position all over the world. Brewed at 99 degrees Celsius for 2-3 minutes.
If you prefer a milky-caramelly sweet flavor, choose Milk Oolong, which is brewed at 70-80 degrees Celsius for 1-2 minutes.
Bubble tea toppings
Tapioca is a natural herbal ball made from cassava root flour. Tapioca is a classic Bubble Tee supplement, the balls are very healthy, fortified with B vitamins and magnesium.
Juice balls - balls with juice inside. The shell is made from an extract of algae, which prevents kidney and intestinal diseases, as well as strengthens the immune system. Jam balls - balls with jam inside.
Bubble tee recipes
Dip two tablespoons of tapioca in boiling water and cook until a jelly-like state is even. Leave the balls to cool. Prepare and chill the tea, add milk and sugar to taste. Pour the liquid into glasses with tapioca balls in each. Serve with teaspoons or wide straws.
To prepare "Fruit Paradise" you will need:
- 2 glasses of coarse sugar;
- 1/2 cup tapioca balls;
- 2 glasses of coarse sugar;
- 1 glass of crushed ice;
1 cup coarsely chopped mango
- ¾ glass of coconut milk;
- ¼ glass of cow's milk;
- 2 teaspoons of lime juice.
Pour 0.5 liters of water into a saucepan, add sugar, bring to a boil and remove from the stove. In another container, boil 1 liter of water and add tapioca balls, boil them as indicated in the instructions. Combine the balls with the sugar liquid and refrigerate. Divide the tapioca balls into the glasses. Whisk together ice, mango, coconut milk, lime juice, and milk. Add the resulting homogeneous mashed potatoes to a glass with balls. Serve with a wide straw.
Strawberry Bubble tea:
- 0.5 liters of drinking strawberry yogurt;
- 100 g of strawberries;
- ice cubes;
- toppings.
Combine strawberries with yogurt, mix with a blender until smooth. Add honey or sugar to taste, pour into glasses, arrange ice cubes and toppings. Serve immediately after cooking.
Bubble tea with fruit juice and milk:
- 1 glass of green tea;
- 2 teaspoons of milk powder;
- 2 glasses of ice cubes;
- 2 glasses of pear or mango juice;
- 1/2 glass of toppings.
Pour tea and milk powder into a blender. Whisk for 1 minute, add fruit juice, ice and toppings.
