From soft types of cheese, you can make a fragrant thick sauce, which tastes great with potatoes.

You will need:

- 200 g of cheese;

- 2 tbsp. flour;

- 1 tbsp. ketchup;

- 2 tbsp. oils;

- 1 tbsp. milk;

- pepper;

- salt.

Melt a small piece of butter over low heat in a saucepan. Add flour and ketchup and stir until smooth for 2 minutes. Continue stirring, gradually add milk to the sauce. Grate the cheese on a fine grater or cut into cubes and add portions to the mixture. Season with pepper and salt.

Delicate béchamel sauce

Béchamel sauce will accentuate the taste of mashed potatoes and diversify your everyday meal. It can be used as a gravy and served directly with mashed potatoes.

Ingredients for the sauce:

- 3-4 tbsp. oils;

- onion;

- 2 tbsp. flour;

- 1/2 tbsp. meat broth;

- 1 tbsp. milk or sour cream;

- ground black pepper.

Melt the butter in a skillet and carefully add the flour. Fry it until golden brown. Saute the finely chopped onion in another bowl. Combine flour and onion and slowly pour in broth and milk. If you add sour cream instead of milk, the sauce will be thicker. Salt, add spices, bring the sauce to a boil, do not forget to stir occasionally.

Sour cream sauce

Sour cream sauce is a great addition to mashed potatoes. It is not at all difficult to prepare it, so that the taste is more expressive, add a little mayonnaise, garlic and fresh dill.

You will need:

- 1 pickled cucumber;

- 3 tbsp. sour cream;

- garlic;

- 3 tbsp. mayonnaise;

- dill;

- ground black pepper;

- salt.

Wash and shake the dill herbs. Peel the garlic, chop finely together with the dill. Combine sour cream with mayonnaise in a container. Add garlic with dill to the resulting mixture, salt and pepper. On a fine grater, grate the pickled cucumber and add to the sauce. Use only pickles, not pickles. As a result, the sauce will acquire a spicy hue.

Tomato-garlic sauce

Mashed potatoes are not only a healthy dish, but also very tasty. If you add a suitable spicy sauce to it, you get a completely different interesting taste.

- celery;

- garlic;

- 1 tbsp. olive oil;

- pepper;

- salt.

Make a cruciform cut in the tomatoes and cover them with boiling water for 1 minute. After that, rinse them with ice water, remove the skin and cut into pieces. Chop celery and garlic finely. Fry the tomatoes in a preheated skillet with olive oil. After 5 minutes, add tomato paste, celery, garlic, salt and pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
