Selyansk-style potatoes Rinse each potato thoroughly under running cold water, using a sponge and soap. Carefully cut out the dark eyes with a sharp knife. Do not peel off the peel. If you are using small potatoes, cut them into four or even two pieces. If the potatoes are larger, cut them into more slices. Place the chopped tubers in a deep, but not too wide, bowl.

Prepare the marinade. To do this, thoroughly mix vegetable oil, salt, pepper and dried herbs. Leave to brew for 5-10 minutes. Add chopped garlic to the marinade if desired, but this is not necessary if you do not like it. Gently pour the prepared marinade over the potatoes in a bowl so that they cover all the slices. Then mix everything with your hands. The marinade should be evenly distributed over all the potato pieces. Put the marinated potatoes on a baking sheet in an oven preheated to 180-200 degrees and bake for 20-30 minutes. Cooking times can be longer or shorter, depending on the size of the slices and the oven. You can determine the readiness of the dish by its appearance; the potatoes should acquire a golden hue.

Potatoes "Simple" Wash the potatoes thoroughly, peel and set aside. Combine oil, salt and pepper. Grease each potato with the resulting mass and place on a greased baking sheet. Place in an oven preheated to 200-220 degrees and bake for 40 minutes. To prevent the potatoes from burning and acquire an even golden hue, check them every 10 minutes and turn them over. Remove the finished dish from the oven and sprinkle with grated cheese and fresh herbs if desired. Make a vegetable salad that makes a great addition to your baked potatoes.
