Jelly is a delicious and healthy dessert for the whole family. It is usually made with sugar, water, and a small amount of gelatin. You can add berries, fruits, or food colors if desired.
In order for the gelatin jelly to turn out to be quite tasty and to solidify well, it is necessary to prepare the gelatin according to all the rules. You can actually make jelly in any dish, except aluminum. So, you need to take a shallow bowl and pour the gelatin from the bag into it. After that, fill it with cool water and mix thoroughly. Wait for the mixture to swell well (usually 30-50 minutes). Then heat the gelatin a little in a water bath and cool it slightly. As a result, you will have a ready-made base for any jelly. By the way, pay attention to the gelatin packaging. It usually prescribes how much of this ingredient is required for a certain amount of liquid.
Gelatin jelly with the addition of berries or fruits perfectly refreshes. It does not contain harmful stabilizers and preservatives.
There are many original recipes for delicious jelly. For example, you can make a fragrant orange jelly. For cooking you will need: an orange, 20 g of gelatin, one and a half glasses of water and half a glass of sugar. Prepare the gelatin as described above. Rinse the orange and peel it, but do not rush to throw it away. Cut the fruit into thin slices and cover with sugar. After a while, juice should appear. This process usually takes 20-30 minutes. To create the sugar syrup, pour the water into a small saucepan, add the remaining sugar and the previously grated zest. Bring the resulting mixture to a boil. It remains only to pour in the same gelatin and orange juice. If desired, add a small amount (on the tip of a knife) citric acid. Strain the mixture immediately afterwards and pour into glasses. Top with orange slices and pour over the jelly again. Put in the refrigerator and wait until it hardens completely.
And here is another interesting jelly recipe that children will really like. For cooking, you need to take the following ingredients: 4 peaches, half a glass of sugar and one and a half glasses of water, a glass of dry white wine, mint leaves for decoration and 2 glasses of raspberries (preferably fresh berries).
To get juice, take berries, put them in a bowl and cover with sugar. Mix water, sugar and wine, put on fire and bring to a boil. Then put halves of peaches to the resulting syrup and keep on fire for another 3-4 minutes. Remove the peaches and peel them.
With an insufficient amount of gelatin, the mass will not harden well. But an excess of this component can give a fruit and berry dessert an extremely unpleasant aftertaste of glue.
Put raspberries in the finished syrup along with the juice. Cook for about 7 minutes. Note that the gelatin solution will be prepared using wine, not water as usual. Pour it into hot raspberry syrup and mix everything thoroughly. That's all. It remains only to lay out the finished delicacy in the bowls. The resulting jelly must be refrigerated for 6 hours. An appetizing dessert, if desired, can be decorated with raspberry berries, chopped peaches and mint leaves.
