Cooking natural and delicious yoghurt in a multicooker is an incredibly simple process. Having made yogurt on your own at home at least once, you are unlikely to continue buying store-bought versions of this product, since the taste and usefulness of homemade ones far exceed them.

Many housewives believe that homemade yogurt can be made exclusively in multicooker with a special "yogurt" function, but this is not the case. For the preparation of this delicacy, any multicooker is suitable, in which there is a "heating" function (and it is absolutely in all multicooker).

What products are needed to make natural yogurt in a slow cooker

All that is required for making yoghurt at home is fresh milk and sourdough. The starter culture can be purchased at a supermarket or pharmacy, for example. You can also use store-bought yogurt as a starter. But here it is worth noting that the choice of this product must be approached with seriousness, options with a long shelf life, an impressive list of composition and various flavors are categorically unsuitable. Pay attention to natural live yoghurts with a shelf life of up to 10 days, which contain two or three products.

How to make yogurt in a multicooker without the "yogurt" function

- a liter of fresh milk of medium fat content (it is better to use homemade milk);

- 150 grams of natural live yogurt.

Transfer the milk to a saucepan and bring to a boil. Cool to 40 degrees, add 150 grams of natural live yogurt to it and mix everything thoroughly.

Take small glass containers (glasses or jars), pour boiling water over them, then pour milk into them (it is worth noting that the containers must be chosen so that they easily fit into the multicooker bowl).

At the bottom of the multicooker bowl, put a thin towel, folded in two or three layers, and place milk containers covered with cling film on the towel. Gently pour enough water into the multicooker bowl so that the milk jars are half in the water. Close the lid of the multicooker and set the heating mode.

After four to six hours, open the lid of the multicooker and check the readiness of the product. The finished yogurt will have a rather thick consistency and will not flow out of the jar when the jar is tilted to one side. Cool the finished yogurt and serve. If desired, you can add any fruits, jams, preserves, etc. to it.
