It is necessary

    • For the mackerel and herb pate:
    • 500 g fresh mackerel;
    • 3 eggs;
    • 200 ml of cream;
    • 150 smoked salmon;
    • parsley and thyme;
    • salt
    • pepper and paprika.
    • For mackerel pâté and vegetables:
    • 600 g of fish;
    • 1 carrot;
    • 1 bunch of leeks
    • 250 g sour cream;
    • 3 eggs;
    • olives;
    • salt and pepper.

Instructions

Step 1

Take fresh or chilled mackerel, peel it of skin and bones, cut into small pieces. Place in a food processor, top with cream, break eggs into a bowl, add chopped fresh parsley and thyme leaves. Season with salt and pepper. You can add some paprika to add color. Grind the food into a homogeneous mass. Put a third of the pate in a baking dish, cover with a layer of smoked salmon. Then add another third of the mass, distribute and place the salmon on it. The third layer will be the final layer in the pate.

Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Cover the baking dish with foil and place in the oven for 45 minutes. After this time, remove the foil lid and bake for another 5 minutes. Cool the finished pate and store in the refrigerator until ready to use. It is best served as thin plastics, accompanied by cereal bread, lemon wedges, olives, gherkins and green salad. The best drink for such a dish will be light dry white wine. You should not wash down fish pate with sugary drinks - when interacting with such a dish, they can leave an unpleasant aftertaste.

If you like vegetables, then another recipe will suit you. Boil the carrots, cut the skin and boneless mackerel and leeks. Put the food in a blender, add sour cream and egg yolks to them. Season with salt and pepper. Mix everything until a paste. Whisk the whites separately. Mix them gently into the paste. You can also add chopped olives to the pasta. Then place everything in a baking dish. Cook at 180 degrees for about 40 minutes, this pate will be delicious accompanied by fresh vegetables - tomatoes and cucumbers. Also an interesting addition to it will be a tartar sauce made from mayonnaise, chopped gherkins and capers. For bread, you can serve croutons fried in butter.
