Fruits are wonderful on their own and are often used to decorate other dishes. But curly cuts and original color combinations can make the serving of fruits and their dishes even more spectacular.
Instructions
Step 1
The most common way to decorate fruit is carving, that is, cutting out patterns. Both a small apple and a huge watermelon can be carved. True, without the appropriate tools and some experience, you cannot create a masterpiece. But don't be discouraged. You can depict simple patterns with an ordinary knife, focusing on a drawing, drawing, or simply giving free rein to imagination.
Step 2
Take green and red apples, for example. Cut them into equal number of equal horizontal slices. Arrange whole apples from the slices, alternating between strips of flowers. If you have a special cone cutter, cut the cones in both varieties of apples in the same way, you end up with red apples with green dots and vice versa. After that, a furor among the guests is guaranteed.
Step 3
Real roses can be made from the same apple. Divide the apple into 4 pieces, core and cut into thin slices from each quarter. Dip the apples in boiling syrup and boil for 1-2 minutes until tender. Gently place the slices on a cooking board, brush them with dissolved gelatin. Take one of them and roll it into a tube. Wrap the next slice around the first. So slice by slice, petal by petal, blind the rose. A couple of apples should make a whole bunch.
Step 4
The undoubted favorite of the fruit table will be the edible basket. Take a large melon or a medium-sized watermelon. Cut in half, for greater beauty, you can leave a kind of handle on top. Remove the core with a spoon or a special tool. That's all. Fill this basket as you wish. The filling can be grapes, orange and tangerine slices, various kinds of berries, melon and watermelon balls, previously removed from the body of the basket.
Step 5
Feel free to get creative. The beauty of fruits is that they can be infinitely varied among themselves, and none of the combinations will turn out to be wrong.
