A cloudy-looking moonshine with a bad taste and smell is the result of a careless attitude to the requirements of the manufacturing technology, which are presented at each of its stages. If you use overstocking mash for moonshine, you get a drink with an unpleasant, heavy odor. If the liquid is allowed to boil during distillation, the droplets at the exit are cloudy.

Moonshine cleaning

In the moonshine, slightly diluted with water, put a little potassium permanganate - literally a few grains on the tip of a knife. You should get a slightly pinkish color. After that, the liquid should settle - this will take 2-3 days. Black flakes settle to the bottom of the container. You should try not to shake them when pouring the moonshine into another container, and strain the resulting liquid through a double layer of gauze or through cotton wool.

Can be cleaned with activated carbon. It is convenient to carry out it even during the distillation process. Charcoal can be purchased at a drugstore or pet store - the one used for aquarium filters is inexpensive. A piece of cotton wool is placed in the funnel, covered with a bandage or gauze. Crumbled coal is placed on it and a funnel is placed under the dripping moonshine. If it seems that it is better to clean in a container, this option is also available. It is necessary to prepare crushed coal at the rate of 50 grams per 1 liter of moonshine, pour it into a container and insist for two weeks. From time to time, the mixture must be stirred. Finally, filter everything through cotton wool.

Cleaning with pine nuts. They will not only cleanse the drink from harmful impurities, but also soften the taste. A small handful of them will be required per liter of moonshine. Insist for two weeks, filter through cotton wool. Throw out the nuts.
