Few recognize purchased jelly in bags, because it contains preservatives and dyes, so it is stored for many years. You should not give children this kind of chemistry, it is much more useful to cook the jelly yourself, with the addition of fresh berries. Moreover, you will spend no more time on its preparation than on cooking jelly from bags. And the quality is incommensurable.

To make strawberry jelly, you need fresh berries. If you do not have them on hand (for example, in the cold season), then you can replace them with frozen ones, this will not affect the taste at all. So, take 300 grams of strawberries and rinse thoroughly under cool running water. Go through the berries and separate the stalks. Leave a few fruits for decoration, pass the rest through a meat grinder, chop with a blender or rub through a sieve.

Pour 700 milliliters of water into an enamel pot and boil over medium heat. Add 150 grams of granulated sugar to boiling water. Dissolve three tablespoons of potato starch in 100 grams of cold water, mix thoroughly until the lumps disappear completely and pour in a thin stream into boiling water with sugar. Stir continuously with a wooden spoon and bring to a boil.

Then carefully put the strawberry puree in a saucepan and mix thoroughly until the jelly becomes homogeneous in its consistency. Remove from heat and pour strawberry jelly into serving glasses or cups. Cool and garnish the jelly with fresh berries on top. Serve as a dessert dish.

It is recommended to drink jelly for an afternoon snack or lunch and preferably in a warm state. After all, there is an opinion that if you drink food with cold drinks, it will quickly leave the stomach and will not have time to thoroughly digest. This applies in particular to protein foods, because it takes a long time to digest. Therefore, nutritionists strongly recommend combining meals with warm drinks.
