  • - 10 g of gelatin,
  • - 2 limes.

Instructions

Step 1

The berries need to be thoroughly rinsed, placed in a saucepan and covered with 2 cups of water and boiled for 10 minutes over low heat. Then drain the liquid, and knead the berries and squeeze through cheesecloth. Put the squeezed juice on the fire, add very thinly sliced lime slices (with the peel) and boil 2 times.

Step 2

Add sugar in portions to the juice. Then add previously swollen gelatin and bring the juice to a boil.

Check for readiness - the droplet should not spread on the plate - and pour the jelly into the prepared jars.

Step 3

Then the jelly must be pasteurized - 10 minutes is enough for half-liter jars.

The first mentions of strawberries are found in written sources of Ancient Greece. It was originally used as a medicine. This applies to wild strawberries. The berry was cultivated in Spain, and only after the 15th century it spread throughout Europe.
