The 8 March salad in the shape of an elegant figure eight will become the main decoration of the festive table.
It is necessary
- - 1 chicken breast;
- - 100 grams of prunes;
- - 100 grams of canned corn;
- - 1 medium carrot;
- - 100 g of canned peas;
- - 4 eggs;
- - 1 onion;
- - 300 g of champignons;
- - mayonnaise;
- - vegetable oil for frying;
- - greenery for decoration.
Instructions
Step 1
Boil the breast (about 20 minutes after boiling), cool and chop finely.
Step 2
We clean the onion, scald with boiling water and finely chop.
Step 3
Cut the champignons into small pieces. Fry them with half of the prepared onion.
Step 4
Boil the carrots, peel and rub on a coarse grater.
Step 5
Boil the eggs, clean. Rub the yolks on a fine grater. We don't touch the squirrels yet - they will be needed later, for making "daffodils" and decorating the salad.
Step 6
Finely chop the prunes (if they are dry, you need to soak them first).
Step 7
Let's start assembling. Take a flat dish and place two glass glasses on it, one under the other. Around the glasses, lay out an eight of the prepared ingredients in layers in the following sequence (do not forget to coat each layer with mayonnaise):
First layer: chicken;
Second layer: onion;
Third layer: prunes;
The fourth layer: peas and half of the corn (the remaining half will be used to decorate the salad);
Fifth layer: champignons;
Sixth layer: carrots;
Seventh layer: yolks.
Step 8
With the help of corn and herbs, we make a salad. Cut out the daffodil petals from the proteins and put them around the corn kernels so that we get flowers. Daffodil stems are green onions. However, it is not necessary to decorate the "March 8" salad just like that. You can customize it according to your tastes.
