The traditional Broken Glass cold cake is made from sour cream mixed with gelatin and pieces of colored jelly. You can supplement it with biscuit, fruits and berries, pieces of cookies. What needs to be prepared for the cake

The cake can be prepared in a muffin pan or by placing the ingredients in a round bowl. It is recommended to take care of the preparation of the dessert in advance - it takes several hours for everything to freeze as it should.

To prepare the cake, you will need a package of biscuit cakes, half a liter of sour cream, 3 packs of jelly with different tastes, a tablespoon of granulated sugar, vanillin to taste, 20 g of gelatin.

If you want to make a biscuit at home, take 5 eggs, a glass of flour and a glass of sugar, a pinch of vanilla for it. Break eggs into a bowl, beat until thick. Continuing to beat, add sugar, flour, add vanilla. The mixture must be poured into a mold, previously covered with baking paper, and baked at 180 degrees for about half an hour. Remove the finished biscuit from the mold and cool.

You now have all the ingredients you need ready to use. To combine them, you need to prepare a creamy mass. Soak gelatin for 10 minutes in cold water (200 g), dissolve it in a water bath until the grains dissolve completely. Whip sour cream with vanillin and sugar. Add two tablespoons of this mixture to the gelatin, mix well and gently pour everything into the sour cream.

Cake preparation

Take a mold for your cake. Line the bottom with cling film. Place there in random order: a biscuit, broken in pieces (if you have a pack, use only two cakes - leave one whole), multi-colored jelly, everything as chaotic as possible to simulate splashes of broken glass. Pour cream of sour cream on each of the layers poured in this way. If you use fruits for cooking, they must be washed, peeled and seeds removed, then cut into pieces of the same size as the jelly.

Cover the last layer with the remaining crust and press down a little. Then place the entire structure in the refrigerator. Better to use the top shelf. You need to hold the dessert there until it solidifies. It is very convenient to put the preparation in the refrigerator for the whole night, and in the morning to pamper the household with a delicious dish.

After the mass has solidified, do this: cover the form with a large dish, turn it over. Then remove the form, remove the film. The Broken Glass cake is ready.
