To prepare the classic Italian Caesar salad, you first need to brown the ciabatta until golden brown. This is such Italian bread. Cut the ciabatta into small cubes. Peel and crush a few cloves of garlic in a mortar, then combine with olive oil and grind well. Toss the ciabatta pieces with the garlic butter, season with salt and place in one layer on a baking sheet. Roast in the oven until crisp and golden brown.
