Different nations have their own ways of cooking steaks. In Australia, it is served with a spicy creamy sauce with horseradish added.
It is necessary
- - beef tenderloin - 600 g;
- - 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine;
- - 1 egg;
- - 3 tablespoons of cream;
- - 1 tablespoon of grated horseradish;
- - 1 pinch of sugar;
- - ground red pepper and salt.
Instructions
Step 1
To prepare this dish, you will need a piece of good tenderloin, which must be rinsed under running water and dried with a paper towel. Cut the meat into fairly thin pieces (1.5 - 2 cm thick). Beat the beef with a hammer.
Step 2
Put a couple of tablespoons of butter or margarine in a skillet and fry the steaks on both sides for 6-8 minutes, until crusty. Salt the meat, season with red pepper and remove from the pan.
Step 3
Prepare the sauce. Peel the horseradish root and grate or mince it. Separate the yolk from the protein (only the yolk will be needed for cooking). Combine the cream with grated horseradish and yolk. While stirring the mass, add the juice remaining after frying the steaks. Salt the sauce, add sugar, season with pepper and pour the mixture over the steaks.
