Summer is the time to make jam. You can diversify your choice and make delicious and sweet orange peel jam.

- - 200 g of cows oranges,
- - 2 glasses of water,
- - 3 glasses of sugar,
- - ½ tsp citric acid.

Step 1
First you need to wash the oranges, then cut into 4-6 pieces. Remove all the pulp, only the crusts are required. The pulp can be eaten.

Now you need to cut the crusts into thin strips, about 1.5-2 cm wide. The inner white part of the crusts must be removed with a kitchen knife.

Then each strip must be tightly twisted into a roll and strung on a thread, like beads, with a needle. Then the thread must be pulled tighter so that the curls cannot unwind.
Step 4
After that, the orange peels need to be poured with cold water. It should be soaked for 3-4 days, changing the water 4 times a day to get rid of the bitterness. Then the water must be drained.
Step 5
Pour water and sugar into an empty saucepan and let it boil. Then dip the orange beads in the syrup and cook over low heat for 40-45 minutes. Foam may form and must be removed. The syrup should be boiled down to a thick consistency. The color should be light. At the end of cooking, add citric acid. When the jam has cooled, the threads should be removed. The jam turns out to be very tasty and resembles candied orange fruits.
