Marmalade and nut cake

There are many types of unbaked cakes. Some make them on the basis of ready-made wafer cakes or biscuits from the store. Others are biscuits, crackers, or meringues. A very unusual cake with marmalade and nuts also belongs to the unbaked category. To prepare it, you must have in stock:

- a pound of cookies;

- a pound of marmalade (any);

- 5 tablespoons of granulated sugar;

- 250 grams of walnuts (shelled kernels).

It is better to buy the simplest cookies, in packs. Next, you need to pass it through a meat grinder. The marmalade must be cut into small cubes. Cut the walnuts into quarters. Pour granulated sugar into a small cauldron or deep frying pan and put on fire. When sugar turns into syrup, add quarters of nuts.

Remove the syrup and nuts from the heat and stir the contents very quickly. It is necessary that a sweet shiny crust forms on the nuts.

Hazelnuts or peanuts can be used instead of walnuts. In this case, the nuts need not be divided into parts.

In a separate bowl, stir well the ground biscuits, marmalade and glazed nuts. If desired, you can add candied fruit or a little orange zest.

The cream for the gummy-nut cake will be combined, and it must be prepared in two stages. At the first stage, you will have to prepare the custard base. To do this, you need to take the following products:

- 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder;

- 1 glass of granulated sugar;

- 2 tablespoons of flour;

- 1 glass of cold milk.

It is necessary to mix cocoa powder with sugar. Add all the flour and pour in the cold milk. Mix everything so that the lumps break. Pour the liquid mixture into an enamel container and place over low heat. Stir until the cream thickens. Can't be boiled!

Remove the dishes from the heat and leave to cool.

At the second stage, you will need to use an additional ingredient:

- 350 grams of butter.

The oil must be softened at room temperature. Add it to the cooled base of the cream. Beat the whole mass thoroughly with a whisk.

For extra flavor, you can add some vanilla sugar or a tablespoon of rum to the cream.

Add the finished cream to the total mass of the cake in a proportion of 2/3. Mix everything and put on a dish. Give the cake the desired shape. Grease the sides of the cake with the rest of the cream and sprinkle with ground nuts. Decorate the top with berries from any jam. Put in a cold place for a day.

Simple rusks cake

Ingredients:

- 200 grams of granulated sugar;

- 200 grams of ground vanilla crackers;

- 200 grams of butter;

- 1 fresh raw egg.

Instead of vanilla, you can use regular bread crumbs. In this case, you need to add more sugar and vanilla.

Grind the ground crackers with butter. Add fresh raw egg and granulated sugar to the mass. Stir the resulting mass. Everything must be laid out on a wet baking sheet (so as not to stick) in the form of a cake. Place in the cold for two hours. After hardening, the finished dessert can be laid out on top with candied fruits or berries.
