Ingredients for the filling:

  • Sugar.

Ingredients for the dough:

  • Kefir - 250 ml;
  • Fast yeast - ½ pack;
  • Sugar - 5 teaspoons;
  • Chicken egg - 1 pc;
  • Flour - 500 g;
  • Salt - 1 pinch

Preparation:

  1. First you need to put the dough. Dissolve dry yeast in kefir and add sugar and salt. Then add the egg to the mixture and beat well. After that, you can start adding flour.
  2. Knead the dough so that it lags behind the hands, and put it to rise. When the dough has doubled in volume, it must be knocked out and again left in a warm place.
  3. Wash the apples, cut in half and remove the seeds, then rub the apples on a coarse grater. Rinse the sorrel in running water and drain off the remaining moisture. Pat dry with a paper towel and chop finely. Mix the sorrel with the apples.
  4. Cut small pieces from the dough and use a rolling pin or hands to form small cakes. Put a teaspoon of the filling in the middle of the cake, then pour a teaspoon of sugar on the filling. It is better not to mix sugar with the filling, but to apply it in this way. If sugar is mixed with sorrel, it will quickly release juice and this will create inconvenience when forming pies.
  5. After that, form a pie and put the finished pies on a greased baking sheet. Put the pies in an oven preheated to 170 degrees. Bake until golden brown. Serve the pies slightly cold so as not to burn themselves with the hot sweet filling.
