The place of milk in human life

People begin to eat milk from birth, and throughout their lives this product is constantly present on the dinner table. Today, there are a large number of types of dairy products: traditional cow's milk, and goat's, sheep's, mare's, camel's, and deer milk. This list goes on and on, because in different regions of the world there are many herbivores that supply people with this unique food product.

At present, a person has learned to preserve all the qualities and useful properties of milk as much as possible, as well as to extend its shelf life. A wide variety of assortment makes you wonder what kind of milk is still the best for consumption.

The best milk

The most commonly used milk for food is, of course, cow's milk, although goat's milk is considered the best in quality. Of course, the best is the village fresh milk. But, unfortunately, not all people can consume such a product every day, especially for urban residents. That is why people just have to go to the store and choose the most suitable product for their table - ordinary drinking milk.

There are several types of such milk:

- normalized milk, whole, the fat content in it is 3.2%;

- reconstituted milk, which is made from powdered milk with a fat content of 3.2%;

- milk with high fat content (6%), it is made with the addition of cream;

- baked milk, which also has a high fat content and is subject to long languor at high temperatures;

- protein milk - has a small amount of fat (from 1 to 2, 5%) and dry fat-free substances in the composition;

- fortified milk, having from 1 to 3, 2% fat, and at the same time enriched with vitamin C;

- low-fat or skim milk, which is produced by separating whole milk.

All these types of milk are widely represented in any city stores, but almost all of them are heat-treated in an industrial environment, since this makes it possible to extend the shelf life of this perishable product.

There are three types of heat-treated milk: pasteurized milk, UHT and sterilized. Among these types, it is best to use pasteurized milk for food, since it retains the most vitamins and beneficial bacteria, which are very necessary for young children, and of course, for the adult population.
