When eating a fern for food, you need to know that fresh this plant is poisonous. But its toxic substances can be destroyed by salting with the use of a large amount of salt.

Therefore, before using the salted fern, it must be soaked in cold water in order to remove excess salt. Then chop and put in boiling water, cook for no more than 3 minutes. Drain the water, rinse and cool the fern.

Fern salad:

- 300 g of fern;

- 40 g of onions;

- 20 g of vegetable oil;

- 30 g of soy sauce;

- 2 cloves of garlic;

- salt pepper.

Onions must be chopped in half rings, sautéed in vegetable oil. Boil and cut the fern into strips 2 cm long, add to the onion. Pour in soy sauce and simmer for 15 minutes. Add garlic and spices to taste, mix thoroughly and transfer to a dish.

Pork stew with fern:

- 150 g fern;

- 150 g of pork;

- 100 g of onions;

- 30 g of soy sauce;

- 2 cloves of garlic.

Pork must be chopped into strips of length, then fry in vegetable oil. Chop the onion into strips and add to the pork. Fry everything until tender.

Chop the garlic finely. Pour soy sauce to the meat, add fern, garlic, spices to taste and simmer for 20 minutes.

Fern baked potatoes:

- 6 potatoes;

- 200 g of fern;

- 2 eggs;

- 100 g of mushrooms;

- mayonnaise;

- vegetable oil;

Potatoes must be peeled, boiled. Boil the eggs, rinse the mushrooms and fry until tender. Core the potatoes.

Make the filling, grate the eggs, add mushrooms, fern and mayonnaise. Mix well. Fill the potatoes with the filling, pour mayonnaise on top. Place the potatoes on a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 15 minutes.
