The ideal breakfast for adults and children is oatmeal, known since time immemorial. During the Soviet era, it acquired a second, more “speaking” name: Herculean porridge, which means that it gives vitality and energy. When cooked properly, this dish can be delicious; however, if you know how good oatmeal is, then the pleasure of taking it will be double.

This porridge is based on oats - a cereal widely used for food by distant ancestors. They already knew very well what oatmeal was good for. Milk, water or kefir?
There are several options for cooking oatmeal, and I want to figure out which one is the most useful.
The first recipe: on the water. This porridge is "prescribed" for those who want to get a minimum of calories and maximum results; nutritionists consider it to be the best way to lose those extra pounds. The second recipe is porridge with milk. It is tastier, but also high in calories. On the contrary, it should be eaten by those who want to "round up" a little. The third recipe: on kefir or yogurt. Naturally, it is impossible to cook oatmeal: it will have to be soaked in a fermented milk product for a couple of hours. Such porridge is also quite high in calories, but at the same time it is doubly useful for digestion processes.
If losing weight is not the main goal, then you can add a spoonful of honey, a handful of nuts and dried fruits, fresh berries and even ordinary sunflower seeds to the oatmeal porridge. Such a dish will allow you to forget about hunger for a long time and increase the nutritional value of breakfast.
