The ideal breakfast for adults and children is oatmeal, known since time immemorial. During the Soviet era, it acquired a second, more “speaking” name: Herculean porridge, which means that it gives vitality and energy. When cooked properly, this dish can be delicious; however, if you know how good oatmeal is, then the pleasure of taking it will be double.

Why is oatmeal useful?

For food purposes

This porridge is based on oats - a cereal widely used for food by distant ancestors. They already knew very well what oatmeal was good for. The fact is that oats contain a whole scattering of vitamins, including A, E, K, PP and group B; characterized by a rich set of trace elements, including iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, iodine and manganese; and also holds the record for fiber content. Thanks to the latter feature, oatmeal is recommended for everyone who has "problems" with the gastrointestinal tract. Acting like a brush, it gently cleanses the intestines from feces, normalizes stool, removes toxins and toxins from the body. In the literal sense, the effect is obvious, because regular cleansing of the digestive tract allows you to get rid of acne forever and increase your own self-esteem.

Another area in which oatmeal has practically no competitors is related to the improvement of the human cardiovascular system. By lowering cholesterol levels, it reduces the likelihood of thrombus formation, and hence the associated diseases of the human "motor".

Milk, water or kefir?

There are several options for cooking oatmeal, and I want to figure out which one is the most useful.

The first recipe: on the water. This porridge is "prescribed" for those who want to get a minimum of calories and maximum results; nutritionists consider it to be the best way to lose those extra pounds. The second recipe is porridge with milk. It is tastier, but also high in calories. On the contrary, it should be eaten by those who want to "round up" a little. The third recipe: on kefir or yogurt. Naturally, it is impossible to cook oatmeal: it will have to be soaked in a fermented milk product for a couple of hours. Such porridge is also quite high in calories, but at the same time it is doubly useful for digestion processes.

If losing weight is not the main goal, then you can add a spoonful of honey, a handful of nuts and dried fruits, fresh berries and even ordinary sunflower seeds to the oatmeal porridge. Such a dish will allow you to forget about hunger for a long time and increase the nutritional value of breakfast.

In cosmetology

Understanding what oatmeal is useful in cosmetology will allow you to prolong your beauty for a long time without expensive procedures. Grups from this cereal, applied in the form of a mask on the face, dry well and relieve inflammation from acne, characteristic of oily skin. In addition, they are considered a good preventive measure against early wrinkles. And in alliance with other natural "ingredients" - lemon, grapes, kefir, tea or honey - it will provide adequate nutrition to the skin of the face.
