Milk biscuits are one of the tastiest childhood memories. They are very tender and satisfying. Ideal for a snack with milk. Try to bake shortbreads for your kids, the recipe is pretty simple.
It is necessary
- - 95 grams of butter (room temperature),
- - 200 grams of sugar,
- - 75 ml of milk,
- - 1 egg,
- - 400 grams of flour,
- - 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar,
- - 4 grams of baking powder (incomplete teaspoon),
- - 2 grams of baking soda (one third of a teaspoon).
Instructions
Step 1
Transfer 95 grams of soft butter to a cup, add 200 grams of sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar. Beat with a mixer for five minutes.
Step 2
Break the egg into a cup and shake lightly with a fork.
Step 3
Add half of the beaten egg to the butter mixture and set aside the rest. Whisk the butter and egg mixture (2 minutes). Add milk with constant whisk.
Step 4
Combine flour with baking soda and baking powder, sift and add to a cup to the butter mass. Place the dough hooks on the mixer and remove the whisk. Dough hooks can be replaced with a regular spoon. Stir the mixture quickly until lumpy. Collect the resulting dough into a ball.
Step 5
Powder the work surface with flour and roll out the dough boards at least 8 mm thick. Cut out circles with a diameter of 8-9 cm from the dough. You can take a glass or mug for cutting. Gently transfer the pastry blanks to a baking sheet. Lubricate each piece with the remaining egg (if the remaining egg is not enough, then take another egg).
Step 6
Place the biscuits in the oven for 10-12 minutes (190 degrees). Try not to overexpose the biscuits, they should turn out soft, not crispy. Adjust to your oven. Transfer the prepared biscuits to a plate, let them cool. Serve with tea or milk.
