Meatballs are a versatile meat dish that will appeal to both adults and children. An excellent option for a hearty and delicious lunch on a weekend, when the whole family can gather at the table.
It is necessary
- For the meatballs:
- - 30 ml of olive oil;
- - 1 onion;
- - 450 g each pork and ground beef;
- - 50 g of Panko-type bread crumbs;
- - 2 yolks;
- - a pinch of ground allspice;
- - a pinch of nutmeg;
- - salt and pepper to taste.
- For gravy:
- - 60 g butter;
- - 40 g flour;
- - 1 liter of beef broth;
- - 180 ml sour cream;
- - salt and black pepper to taste.
- Additionally:
- - 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley.
Instructions
Step 1
Finely chop the onion and fry over medium heat in a frying pan with half of olive oil (15 ml) for 2-3 minutes. We put it aside. In a bowl, mix pork and ground beef, add breadcrumbs, yolks, fried onions, allspice and nutmeg. Salt and pepper to taste.
Step 2
Form small meatballs from the minced meat and fry them in the remaining olive oil (15 ml). The meatballs should brown on each side.
Step 3
We transfer the meatballs to a plate, proceed to the thick gravy. Melt the butter in a frying pan, add flour and stir quickly.
Step 4
Pour in the beef broth, stir for 2 minutes to thicken the sauce.
Step 5
Add sour cream, pepper and salt to taste. Put the meatballs in the pan and simmer them in the gravy for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve the finished dish immediately, sprinkle with parsley.
