Meatballs with thick gravy and aromatic mashed potatoes are a real taste of childhood. Such a simple, but tasty and healthy dish can be prepared even now to please the whole family.
Ingredients for making meatballs:
- 0.5 kg of minced meat (can be mixed);
1/4 cup round rice
- medium onion;
- 1 st. a spoonful of sour cream, flour and tomato. pastes;
- salt, bay leaf.
Cooking meatballs with gravy:
1. Boil rice in plenty of water until half cooked, drain and rinse.
2. Pass the onion through a meat grinder and mix with the minced meat, salt.
3. Add cooked rice to the minced meat, mix everything well, form small balls-meatballs.
4. The meatballs should be gently rolled in flour and placed in a heated high-sided frying pan with butter.
5. Fry them on both sides, then add a glass (or less) of hot water, a little salt, and a mixture of sour cream, tomato paste and the remaining flour.
6. Gently mix the gravy, put the bay leaf and leave to simmer under the lid for 15 minutes.
7. Such meatballs can be served with any side dish - boiled rice or buckwheat, mashed potatoes, as well as stewed or boiled vegetables. Meatballs with gravy also go very well with any pasta.
