Ingredients:

  • 2 duck breasts weighing 0.5 kg;
  • 150 g ripe cherries;
  • Teriyaki marinade sauce;
  • 4 tbsp. l. soy sauce;
  • 1 tbsp. l. starch;
  • sunflower oil
  • a couple of sprigs of dill or parsley.

Preparation:

  1. Wash the duck breasts, put on a board and cut into medium slices of the preferred thickness of 0.5-1 cm. Rinse all the cut meat again, then put in a bowl, drain all excess liquid from it, pour over the Teriyaki marinade sauce, stir until smooth and leave marinate at room temperature for about a quarter of an hour.
  2. After this time, add starch to the meat. Mix everything well so that the starch is evenly distributed over all the pieces of meat, and set aside for 5 minutes.
  3. Pour sunflower oil into a frying pan and heat it up.
  4. Put the marinated breasts in hot oil and fry, stirring occasionally, for 5-7 minutes until brown.
  5. Take ripe cherries and wash them thoroughly. Divide each cherry into two halves, peel and add to the pan to the meat.
  6. Gently mix the contents of the pan, season with soy sauce and fry again for 5-7 minutes. During this time, the meat will acquire an unusual taste and dark caramel color.
  7. Cool fried duck breasts with cherries a little, pour into a plate, garnish with fresh cherries and sprigs of herbs, serve with your favorite side dish.

Note that this dish is also perfect for a salad or sliced fresh vegetables.
