It is believed that pea soup should be cooked with smoked meats. But each housewife comes up with something of her own and always experiments in the kitchen. Smoked sausages of the "Hunter" or "Alpine" type are also suitable for such a soup. The taste is completely different, but the seductive aroma from such a soup can play out the appetite in everyone.

It is necessary

  • - chicken or soup set - 400 g;
  • - smoked sausages - 200 g;
  • - split (but not small) peas - 1, 5 cups;
  • - potatoes - 4 pcs.;
  • - carrots - 1 pc.;
  • - onions - 1 pc.;
  • - tomato paste - 1 tablespoon;
  • - Bay leaf;
  • - salt to taste.

Instructions

Step 1

We wash the peas well and fill them with cold water for a couple of hours, so that they cook faster during cooking. Usually, this procedure is done with whole peas. Chipped need not be soaked.

Step 2

We wash the chicken, cut it into portions and send it to boil. Do not forget to add salt to the broth. The chicken is ready for 30-40 minutes. Then we filter the broth (optional). This is done in order to give it transparency, but in the pea soup it will still be invisible.

Step 3

Cut potatoes and carrots into cubes, onions - into medium-sized half rings. Add peas to the broth, cook until half cooked. Then add vegetables and cook until all ingredients are done.

Step 4

At the same time, cut the sausages in half rings and lightly fry them in a pan until a small golden crust appears. Since the sausages are thin, this is the only way to cut. If you choose regular smoked sausage, cut it into cubes or cubes. After frying, add the sausages to the soup, put the tomato paste, bay leaf and let it boil for another five minutes. Bon Appetit!
