Cherries are an excellent raw material for various homemade products. These berries contain up to 10% fructose and glucose, malic and citric acid, nitrogenous and tannins, as well as vitamins A, PP and C. Pitted cherry jam is very aromatic and tasty. It can become your family's favorite treat.

Step 1
Go through the berry, clean it of debris and stalks. Then rinse the cherries thoroughly in cold water and drain.

Next, remove the seeds from the berries. If you do not have a special device for this, you can use an ordinary hairpin or safety pin.

Lay the seedless berries in layers in an enamel dish or stainless steel. At the same time, cover each layer with sugar. Soak for several hours until the juice appears and the sugar is completely dissolved. Then mix everything.

Then on medium heat, put the dishes with cherries, stirring occasionally, bring to a boil. Skim off the foam from time to time. Once the jam boils, remove it from the stove for about 30-40 minutes.

Then boil again and turn off the heat. Wait about 40 minutes. After the third regular boil, pour the jam into pre-sterilized jars and roll up with metal roofs. Remove to a warm place for 6-7 hours.
