Chicken breast is very popular with people who like to eat right. Many people know how to cook it, but not everyone knows how long this process takes.
Chicken breast is considered the healthiest and most dietary part of chicken. This is due to the fact that it has the lowest calorie content of all chicken products and contains a huge amount of protein. It also contains copper, fluorine, zinc, sodium, calcium, iodine and other substances. But especially chicken breast is valued because of the content of B vitamins in it, which normalize the metabolism in the human body and greatly help the correct development of the fetus during a woman's pregnancy. Therefore, it is believed that this white meat should be consumed regularly, about 2 times a week.
The process of preparing chicken breast is quite simple, but there are some peculiarities. In particular, it can only be thawed naturally. To do this, place the chicken breast on a plate at room temperature. It cannot be rinsed with hot water to speed up the defrosting process - this will wash out all the beneficial trace elements from it.
There are also differences in the preparation of chicken breast depending on its further use. If it will be used for making a salad or as a second course, then it is placed in hot water for cooking. In it, the protein is curtailed and prevents all useful vitamins from escaping. In this case, the cooking time of this product is approximately 30 minutes after the water boils.
If the chicken breast is used for making soup, then it is placed in cold water for cooking, while all the beneficial trace elements are dissolved in the broth. With this cooking option, the chicken breast is boiled for 40 minutes.
There are several ways to shorten the cooking time of this product. Before cooking, the chicken breast is simply chopped into pieces of 2-3 cm in size. Or, the meat is separated from the bone and the peel is removed.
Another important criterion for the duration of breast preparation is the age of the chicken. Defrosted young chicken shrinks easily, unlike old chicken. Therefore, in the first case, the chicken breast will cook much faster than in the second.
Chicken breast obtained from homemade chicken will take a little longer to cook than one brought from the store. In this case, the cooking time can be up to one hour.
