Milk porridge recipes

To prepare porridge in milk, take the following ingredients: 1 glass of milk, half a glass of oatmeal (or cereal), 20 grams of butter, 2 tbsp. sugar, 0.5 tsp. salt. Use a small saucepan to cook porridge. After all, the given amount of ingredients is calculated for a small portion of porridge. Pour a glass of milk into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Watch the milk while cooking, otherwise it will quickly run away.

Pour cereals into boiled milk and stir. Then add sugar and salt. Reduce the fire. Cook the porridge for 4-5 minutes, stirring constantly. Then cover the pan with a lid, turn off the stove and let the porridge steep and thicken properly. Remove the lid, put butter in the oatmeal. Put the lid back in place for another couple of minutes. As a result, the porridge will become especially aromatic and soft. If the porridge is too thick, you can always dilute it with boiled milk.

You can cook oatmeal in a different way. Leave the cereal in the milk overnight. Add salt, sugar to them and stir to avoid lumps. In the morning, after bringing the porridge to a boil, it can already be laid out on plates. Be careful not to burn the oatmeal while cooking. After all, the flakes will swell overnight: the mixture will be quite thick. Therefore, it can easily stick to the bottom of the pot at high temperatures.

You can add honey, nuts, dried fruit, or fresh fruit to cooked oatmeal. Any jam is suitable as a sweet addition. Add fruits to the porridge mashed, then it will retain its delicate consistency.
